Jackman Supports Ongoing Relief Efforts in Developing Countries
Aid Still Required (ASR) is an organization that continues to bring awareness to areas that have been affected by either natural disasters or humanitarian crises. Its motto is “Just because it left the headlines doesn’t mean it left the planet.” In the days following a tragedy, the world lends a hand to provide medical services, food, water and shelter, all to help save the lives of those affected. What happens to the already impoverished communities after their stories leave the headlines? Aid Still Required brings the forgotten back into the spotlight through outreach campaigns and by creating innovative and customized programs to help those facing extreme poverty while dealing with the repercussions of disaster.
ASR has benefited from Hugh Jackman’s philanthropic work, as he is one of the Haiti Awareness Campaign participants. With the help of high-profile supporters, ASR is able to use social media, videos, public service announcements and contests to help educate the public and raise funds for ongoing needs in Haiti.

Worldwide Orphans (WWO) works to change the lives of both children and communities in need. It provides education, medical care and psycho-social support in places facing extreme poverty so children can become thriving adults and give back to their communities. WWO works in Bulgaria, Ethiopia, Haiti, Serbia and Vietnam. Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, have been heavily involved with WWO. At the fifth annual benefit gala to honor his wife and her work with the organization, Jackman performed as a part of the fundraiser.

The Laughing Man Foundation works to support these communities by providing programs which help them grow and succeed in the coffee farm industry.
In 2018, the Laughing Man Foundation will be partnering with Fair Trade USA to invest in the future of the Coocentral Coop in Huila, Colombia.
