DUBAI — The Emirates Airline Foundation is truly making an impact within society today by reaching out to children who are in need. The organization’s main goal is to improve the quality of life for children and to help them improve and maintain their human dignity. This organization gives an equal opportunity to all children in need, since the foundation does not take geographical, political, or religious boundaries into consideration.
The organization is a non-profit charity organization that aims to help disadvantaged children realize their full potential within society by providing basic needs such as food, clean water, shelter, medicine, and education. The organization also aims to cut child mortality rates by improving access to proper treatment and medication.
The Emirates Airline Foundation is under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who founded the philanthropic organization Dubai Cares. The Emirates Airline Foundation is run with the same beliefs and values as Dubai Cares, and offers equal gender opportunities to provide philanthropic aid and services to children in need.
This philanthropic foundation is run by the help of gracious volunteers and members of the Emirates Group. Staff members and volunteers help to raise funds for the philanthropic organization which go towards helping to provide shelter, food, clean water, medicine, and education to those in need. To donate to this cause, individuals can make a simple donation on the organization’s web page. “A little change can change a lot” is the organization’s motto.
The Emirates Airline Foundation spends 95 percent of their organized funds on the children, the additional five percent goes towards administrative costs to help keep the organization up and running successfully. This foundation is successful due to the amount of support it receives from gracious volunteers and donors. The Emirates Group Financial Department and the Internal Audit Department divide the finances between the children in need and projects that help build shelter and educational systems.
