SEATTLE — Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Dikembe Mutumbo solidified himself as one of the best defensive big men in the NBA. Nicknamed “Mt. Mutumbo” for his enormous seven-foot-two-inch stature, Mutumbo made eight All-Star games, won four Defensive Player of the Year Awards, and finished his career playing 18 seasons, landing him second on the NBA’s all-time block list with 3,289 blocks.
