Gwyneth Paltrow Renews Partnership with Frederique Constant

SEATTLE — Gwyneth Paltrow is renewing her partnership with Frederique Constant, the Swiss watch brand, for the 3rd year in a row. Together, they are helping fulfill the world’s classrooms with the funding and supplies needed to succeed.

Gwyneth Paltrow is an Oscar-winning actress and philanthropist who works as the Global Charity Brand Ambassador of Frederique Constant. She chose to become involved in supporting education for children through DonorsChoose.org, where the focus is on finding classrooms, supplies and field trip funding to help further education rights and access.

DonorsChoose.org is composed of a team of 80 who have completed over 600,000 classroom projects thus far. To put the process simply, a donor can find a project (such as providing a classroom with their favorite book) that interests them and donate anywhere from $1 on to get it started.

Once this project becomes fully funded, DonorsChoose.org purchases all the items necessary to finish the project and ships it straight to the classrooms. Some of the more recent projects on the website are:

  1. Pedometers to Promote Exercise and Academics: This project features a classroom hoping to purchase 30 pedometers in order to plan math and social lessons around their miles and encourage students to live a more active lifestyle.
  2. Peace Zone: A project emphasizes the importance of mental health and the need for a “mindfulness corner” in their classroom equipped with items such as oil diffusers and electric water fountains.
  3. Classroom with Engaging Read Alouds: A project searching for 20 beautiful read alouds to help the teacher’s amazing group of kindergarteners can open their minds to new worlds.

In addition to Gwyneth Paltrow, many other celebrities support DonorsChoose.org. Among these celebrities are Adam Lambert (American singer-songwriter), James Franco (American actor), and Stephen Colbert (American comedian).

Prioritization of Giving Back

As the Board Executive and Co-founder of Frederique Constant told ‘Look To The Stars:’ “Giving back is just as important to Gwyneth as it is for us, and thanks to her and our brand’s engagement, we will continue to support DonorsChoose.org educational projects.”

The Swiss brand has been involved in philanthropic actions for quite some time. In fact, since 2004, Frederique Constant has donated $50 from each watch sold from the Ladies Collections to charity. Gwyneth Paltrow and the brand also took this donation a step further by collaborating during an event to launch the Lady Horological Smartwatch.

Constant Charity (and Fitness)

The collaborators were joined by celebrity fitness trainer, Tracy Anderson, and chose a group of students to participate in the “5000 steps challenge” with these watches. This program was part of Frederique Constant’s $50,000 donation to DonorsChoose.org, which specifically went toward public schools’ movement and sports programs.

Since Gwyneth Paltrow has renewed the partnership with Frederique Constant, the brand has released their new Charity Advertising Campaign. This campaign will aid in pushing the brand’s Ladies collections forward, which will increase the amount of money donated to charity.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s partnership with Frederique Constant has made a tremendous step toward bringing children, especially those in poverty, closer to receiving a quality education. Thanks to the success of their programs and generous donors, DonorsChoose.org has been able to help 28,132,067 students from 77,657 schools with $696,393,554 of donations.
